Woodbridge Family Physicians
The Woodbridge community has been our primary patient base for over 20 years but our convenient location near several 400 series highways, has also allowed us to serve a broader multicultural catchment area that includes patients from Brampton, Barrie, Bolton, Toronto, Mississauga and the east parts of Vaughan as well.
We are both experienced doctors with comprehensive practices that are well linked to William Osler through our roles in the ER and administration. Although we work primarily at the Etobicoke General Hospital, we have privileges at both sites. Dr. Klar and Dr. Sidenberg have both been President of the Etobicoke Professional Staff Association and Dr. Sidenberg has served as the Site-Chief of the Department of Family Medicine for over 12 years. Dr.Klar is currently serving as Site Director for the WOHS Residency Program.
We are proud to have several 4-generation families for whom we provide care and, sometimes in the
same day, can deal with a great
grandmother, a grandfather, and a pregnant Mom and a 3-year-old child. We do a lot of preventative care and chronic disease management for patients of all ages and provide a strong exposure to interdisciplinary senior and long-term care, as we are on staff at 3 Nursing Homes & 1 Seniors Home.
Our group also does Travel Medicine, minor office procedures and house calls. Dr. Sidenberg has a methadone license and provides both Addiction and Pain Management for patients. Dr.Klar services a Group Home for Disabled Children in the community and supports disabled adults from group homes in the office.
We recently became a FHO and have been using an EMR for several years. We have an excellent experienced staff in our office, including a Nurse, a Podiatrist, & a visiting Gynecologist, with lab, DI and other ancillary health services right in our building. We have also created a very nice physical set-up for residents that allows a true sense of independent practice.
Woodbridge Family Physicians’ strengths range from the comprehensiveness of our practice to our focus on Chronic Disease Management and our involvement in Long Term Care. We are a smaller group than some other William Osler teaching practices, with just 2 other full time physicians, and pride ourselves in offering personal attention and hands on support to our residents.
